Rescuers have arrived at the scene of the President Ebrahim Raisi’s helicopter crash, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency.
The condition of the people on board the helicopter was not disclosed by the agency.
According to Pir-Hossein Kolivand, head of the Iranian Red Crescent, at least 73 rescue teams are on the scene of the helicopter crash close to the village of Tavil in the province of East Azerbaijan, Tasnim said.
“The situation is not good,” Kolivand stated, as reported by Iranian state news agency IRNA.
